Yesterday, Friday.

I think we all missed a morning east session. It didn't help that the Gilmer meter was down. I noticed trees moving at home and there were consistent 11 mph readings from various airports. I was thinking of going but all the forecasts didn't really show anything over 8 or 9.

This time of year, it's pretty common for east winds to overperform as it seems (just a guess) that the cooler winds descend from the mountains and give an extra push.

There was this report on a Lake Lanier sailing FB group that added insult to injury

"So glad we started the long weekend off early. Wind was fantastic today and
Bill ---- said that today was in his top 5 most favorite days sailing on Lake Lanier⛵️"

Re: Yesterday, Friday.

If it is any consolation I went to Tidwell from about 12:30-1:30. The readings for the dam were around 13 at that time. If only that had been true. More like 4-8.

That link no longer works. I suspect it was removed because it was #fakenews. Lol

I think you might have to be a member of Lanier Sail Rats FB page to see it

Yeah, sorry about that. Gotta be in the "in crowd" Blush

Here's a screen grab. Gotta admit, a lot of those folks have a lot more fun in 3-7 than we do. Biggrin
