I'm also looking for a chance to get on the water with wind, but without heavy rain or T-storms. Either VP or Vanns this afternoon, we'll see what tomorrow's Fx holds.
Gene snapped this nice photo of me foiling at Van Pugh with my iPhone. It was a short high-quality session, then the wind dropped & I stowed my gear just in time before the rain arrived.
Good day, stayed of 5.7m most of the day. Used the 8.2 for about an hour.
Gene, Tony, Hamdi and myself .
Dave D. came by to make sure we remembered how to do this sport.
Fairly steady wind considering the wind was storm generated.
Gene was covering a lot of water today.
Everytime I looked for him he was at the other end of the fetch
Ditto on Langdon’s comments, great day!
My only exception would be his comments about Gene - thought Gene was in the water every time I looked.
Ps: just kidding Gene ?. I got my sinuses cleared plenty the last 45 minutes, after an hour avoiding any falls. Trying to keep up with young lad Langdon wore me out for sure.
Every day is Vanpughsday! (Except Vannsday and summer weekends.)

I am going to Vanns Tavern for this adventure.
Most likely both days.
Unless it is pouring, rain is not an issue for me. ( thins out the boat traffic)

If current fx for today holds for another couple hrs, I am planning on being at Vanns between 2-3.
So far, tomorrow isn’t looking up my alley.

Just talked with Gene. IF the weather holds, we plan on sailing at Van Pugh around 2-3PM.

Arrived at VP. Waiting for wind.

Hit Vanns Tavern about 3:30. Sailed for about 30min warmup;
Then Got some KILLER WIND for about 30 min. Totally worth it. Foiling in the Warm Rain; Lake Clear and Green.
Gonna head out in the AM to Vann's Tavern for 11am

Thanks for the report. I kept wishing I could go. Glad you had a good day on the water.

Or was it that Langdon was covering a lot of water? One time, Langdon, Hamdi and Tony were all headed over the horizon.
Warm water, cool rain. We did get lots of rain, but for storm wind, the wind was nice, 10 gusting to 20 instead of 5 gusting to 35.
We're all the same age in foil years.
It was a good day.
