Driving the van to work on Monday in case the wind starts to blow on Monday evening.
Probably going to Vanns after lunch on Tuesday and sail till I can't sail anymore. ( it might get brisk toward evening).
I hope everyone can come.

Brave man…I see wind in FX but also heavy rain with thunderstorms. I miss foiling but not enough to play chicken with thunderstorms. If FX shows just rain -no chance of electricity-, I will reconsider.
Hey guys,
I think I'm going to try to make it out on Tuesday if the weather works. I am a complete newbie wingfoiling, had about 5 attempts in FL without success of getting up on foil. I have been studying the info you all gave me back in April when I joined but any advice/help would be amazing.

Seriously consider going to Old Federal. If things go sideways, it's a shorter walk back. Van Pugh is a sideshore launch which means that if you get blown downwind, it's a long walk home.
If you feel proficient sailing back and forth when not on the foil, maybe VP will be okay. If you have any doubt, do OF. The water will tend to be flatter there, too.
We want you to have fun
I'm out of town so not paying attention to the wind direction. East is a bit more problematic but if you stay close in, Vann's will work. Just make sure you pull the plug before you get too far downwind and can't paddle/sail back. Van Pugh on an east is more sketch because it's easy to end up downwind on the islands just offshore.
Again, measure your "staying upwind" skills with your potential launch. Look at the sailing sites link at the top and on the wiki and the various sites are mapped so you can have an idea of what the layout is of each and if things go sideways where you end up.
I'm not trying to scare you away but get you at a spot where Plan B is easy so you have the confidence to go out and give it a proper go without worrying about where you'll end up.
The good news is the water is warm so mistakes and paddling back aren't as bad as they are in say March.
This Fred?
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
It will be if we get some wind and nobody gets seriously inconvenienced to the south of us.
