There's wind & rain in Sunday's forecast, but being desperate to get on the water, I hope to sail at Van Pugh. If anyone goes early, please post parking conditions.
Top shelf day. Thanks to Chris for the invite. A little less bedlam in the water up the lake. Sail sizes from 8 to 4.7 and all were correct at some point.
Excellent day over in Augusta as well. Can’t remember such good wind day in August (not associated with a hurricane or tropical storm). A new board showed up 2 days ago. Cool to be able to be able to use it so soon.
What time are you going? I was thinking noon.
Darn, forgot about Sunday parking.
You can have mine. I'll be at the Braves game.....

In that case, the forecast is officially upgraded to "Blowing dogs off chains."

Glad I could help the cause....btw - if it does blow enough to foil tomorrow, it will be the second year in a row that was foilable on August 1st.

Van Pugh parking report, Saturday, 6.30 PM, limited parking available, 4 or 5 spots in whole park.
Forecast for Sunday currently show it starts blowing at 10 AM, so pack a lunch and come early?

Thanks Gene. If the Fx still looks good tomorrow, I’ll have to depart in AM.

Nice looking JP Chris.
You’ll be sailing and winging it?
Looking forward to your thoughts on it.
Alan
Yesterday was spotty when I got there about 2:30. Had some good runs as it picked up about 3:30.
Then really spotty. Then after I put my stuff away about 7---it's started WHIPPING!!
Had to be 20MPH for a good 30-60min
