Windfoiling gear questions

If I were to get into windfoiling, can I still use my current quiver of sails? or would I need a whole new quiver?

You don't need special sails to foil. What I have found is that I need less sails and can have bigger gaps. I used to carry 5 sails, but now carry 3 (sometimes 4 if I'm going to Hatteras and will be doing some windsurfing as well).

My opinion

Use what-cha-got until you wear them out. I wouldn’t want to learn this with brand new sails, chances are you’ll be falling on them a lot.
By then hopefully you’ll be spending more time foiling than falling and be totally addicted, then go buy a couple of foil specific sails….Maybe a 8.0 and 5.5.

8.0/5.4/4.7/4.2 covers me 6-30+.

8.0 is a specialist sail but the other 3 are wave freeride. Your big sail can be any freeride sail. Foil sails do offer advantages but not that you would notice the first year. Beyond that you can decide what style of foiling you prefer and see what kind of sail would be a best fit which might even be your current sail.
Your biggest sail can be anything from 7 to 8.5, most likely something around 7.5.
