I am in Town but I didn’t bring my gear because we are taking my wife’s electric vehicle back to FL and she doesn’t have a roof rack. Gas at $3.60 was an incentive to switch vehicles.
Be fun to see people. Maybe I could take a run on someone’s set-up while they rest!!

that was exactly my thought, Langdon. Sitting here while working, keeping an eye on the webcam and can't decide whether I should leave before or after my phone call
Hope you got out there Langdon. Sorry I didn’t see your message until now - texting might have gotten my attention earlier.
It was real good - overpowered a lot with 6.4 (when I was rigging, that was smaller than others rigging then) but, being stubborn/ lazy about re-rigging, I stuck with it and covered 18miles in just over 2hrs. More swimming than I would have liked (gusts, tired, inexperienced, incompetent…?) but lots of good long rides as well.
I posted on the Facebook Page, but wanted to shout out to everyone how much fun yesterday was. The stoke in ATL is great. I might get more wind days in Vero but I don't have the fun group that you all have. Its usually just me or me and my friend Lundy. So yesterday was really cool seeing other people enjoying the water. I will be back in ATL on a more semi permanent schedule starting in September so it will be fun to hook up more often. The worst part is the drive, the best part, NO Sharks!!!
Neil
PS: You probably already noticed but High Country offers e-foil lessons. That would be a great way to quickly understand what it feels like to get up on foil. That was the hardest thing for me to wrap my brain around using just the Wing to learn.
Yeah we do have a great crew. We had a huge crew back in the late 80’s and 90’s then it thinned a bit but seems to be making a comeback with foiling and all the new wingers coming out. The people are the reason I drive an hour and a half to Lanier instead of going to Juliette or West Point.

It's been on our radar for a few days. You won't be alone. Van Pugh for me. I think we may even see that guy from Vero Beach.
#nowindshadowTuesday
I hope to join you at Van Pugh.
Evening session for me I hope
+1

What the...?
Rain shower? Pop ups today.
Edit: nope, saw the time stamp. Pop showers were earlier and, by that time, radar (Windy goes back up to 12 hrs) shows nothing.
Just Lanier being Lanier, I guess.

Likely late afternoon for me
Neil,
Seeing that you do not have your winging gear with you, perhaps you could try windfoiling...
Meeting Roland around Noon. William mentioned heading over around 2:00. Look forward to seeing the ATL crew.
Just arrived at noon. No whitecaps yet. Pump up skills will be out to the test for now!!!
G'ville FX station down.
please give us 2nd shifters a live update around 4 or so

Amazing day. Shame the wind meter was down at gilmer. I'd have loved to know what the gusts were.
