Friday 6/04

Maybe Weather Cat will come through today for us. Light SW breeze this afternoon. Enough definitely for a longboard. Foiling will take vigorous input and even then. But I'm remaining optimistic (and probably being an idiot). Oh well - in windsport, hope springs eternal.

Edit: I'm planning to get this set up for July and August. (Photo from Sandy Point FB page)

Edit edit: apparently other things have been planned for me today. Hope it works out for someone.

I see no wind for a week unless we drive to the coast

Re: Friday 6/04

I’m headed to Huguenot park tomorrow afternoon for a couple days to windsurf, forecast looks decent in the afternoons.
It’s pretty shallow in bay at low tide so I’m taking my aluminum foil (that always makes me laugh) Just in case a fin won’t work.
Camping is cheap $20/ night. I think $25 for RV’s

Got here around 4p. Wind was decent but was SE coming over the campground. Easy to get on plane in the flat water with a 7.3, 124 w/ fin.
Nice place but really crowded and noisy on the weekend until they run the day park visitors out at 7pm.

I am headed to VP South this afternoon thru Fri am - leaving just when there might be a chance of wind. Site 32, with easy access to the lake. Too bad I won’t be putting it to good use for sailing this time (no wind in forecast) but hopefully good kayaking and swimming.
If anyone is around, stop by.
