I really want to play with this idea. Anyone know where I can get some thick foam?

EVA is just the thin layer or foam for the "soft top" of a board. It is used mainly to prevent scraping your skin on the deck of the board. In the comments he says it is DIAB - which is a composite sandwich type foam. Kind of a high tech material. Not sure where one would get that.

Kinda looks like he used the higher tech sandwich for thin part of the board that the foil is bolted to and then added volume with the EVA.

EVA in that amount might be a bit heavy and expensive. Maybe do a board like that, a couple layers of the 2" purple foam from the orange box store and then a layer or two of glass. Advantage of that board construction is that it's simple and doesn't require foil boxes.

Here's a source although no idea how price competitive it is: https://www.foamorder.com/foam/eva.html 2" EVA is about $127 a sheet.

Yeah I don't know the name of the foam they used. It looks like boogie board or packing type foam to me. It just looks like it would be a fun project/ toy to play with.

Honestly I would think manufactured boggie board Type wing foil board could be made to out perform most of inflatable wing boards.

Oh, sweet mother of pearl. I'm going to go broke in that place...

I've been looking for a local source for divinycell forever.

Roland, if we can make a "skateboard" style top/deck - molded and glassed plywood with a glassed foam "hull", it would be easy to experiment with shapes. Simply epoxy and glass - no need for carbon or even vacuum bags.

They also sell carbon fiber fabric so I would to assume epoxy and glass as well.....
