His guitar amp doesn't go to 11, it goes to 12.

Thinking of getting on board the Moses bandwagon but not sure of the right wing(s). 1100? 720? 683? What’s your take?

If I could only own one it would definitely be the 1100.
Especially with the lighter winds of summer around the corner. I’ve used mine in 12 to 30 just adding and removing shims and it’s been fine, I rarely use my 790 anymore.
You’re welcome to try it tomorrow if you come to old federal.

Also, the 950. Little brother to the 1100. Lifty but a bit quicker and more range.
Given that you are accustomed to smaller wings the 790 may still be a good fit.

Until I can get back on the water. Biggrin Check out the jibe at 0:40. Notice how the sail sweeps all the way across his face. I'd been struggling with my port (left hand in front) jibes the last couple of weeks and it finally clicked how much I wasn't doing this and when I did, the mojo returned. It's not as important with smaller sails but for big sails it helps a lot. Work your way a good bit upwind and then bear off and do a chain of jibes. It's much easier when you are bearing off a bit instead of going from reach to reach.

Flat water blasting in the Netherlands. Nice jibes, too. Wide one at 2:08 among others. Good

Heavy wind. Never looks like it from the beach. It was averaging high twenties and gusting to 35 mph. Greg was on a 2.8 , Dave was on a 2.5 and Pat was on a 2.8 I believe. All were making it look easy. I did not get video of the net day but let's put it this way, Greg was on a 2.5 and there were was a point that there were not a lot on the water due to too much wind. Beautiful weather.

Gwen drops a new one. NSFL (Not safe for Langdon). Smooth water, 15-20 mph breeze...

Bunch of good jibes if you are working on your foil jibes.

Most news outlets are saying he’s in a electric foil but it looks likes he is riding wake on a regular foil to me.

Agreed. Board is too thin to hold batteries and his hands are either empty or holding the flag (no controller). He foils pretty well for a reptillian. Wink

Now they are everywhere. UFO (Unidentified Foiling Object) sighting at the lake today. Saw 2 of them. I tried to get them to come closer so I could make them famous, but you know how shy UFO drivers are.

Reminds me of the old NP RAF Speed sails that I loved...

From the website, their 7.0 has the same luff as a Severne Foilglide 7.0 but much shorter boom likely because of the inset clew (166 vs 204). fwiw, the Flyer 7.0 is about 10 cm shorter and 206 boom. My 7.7 GA Airride is about the same luff and 210 boom. One advantage of the short boom is that you can use a more affordable <200cm carbon boom.

Yeah, HA foil sails are pretty neat.
