Thursday and Friday are optimistic maybes but I'm getting desperate.
Sunday has promise as an East Fest. Hope to repost Randy's video when the forecast firms up. I think we killed Wed chances by talking about it.
Edit: A little French inspiration. Foils - wind and wing - as thick as pigeons in the park.

Anybody desperate enough to try Victoria on Wednesday? (Or Thursday for that matter.) Anyone? Bueller?

I'm busy Wednesday but Tidwell looks interesting Thursday if you believe the Euro.
I don't think Victoria is wide enough to foil if there's any breeze. That would be a lot of jibes.

Probably more of a longboard place. If you head south it gets wider, but the fetch gets shorter. Tidwell can work on S after sailing out a ways, though the NWS forecast is for only one dot last time I checked. Could also be getting domey.

I guess we better stop talking about the upcoming wind because Wed and Thursday and even Sunday are looking pretty dubious. I guess you can go and hope the forecasts are wrong and you get lucky. But you do have to ask yourself.....

Until the next drag race, marble racing:
FRIDAY looks good, I hope to sail.

Marble Racing- cool! This could only come from across the Pacific Ocean. I’m pretty sure it did not originate in Commerce, Ga.
Sounds like it is from the Netherlands.

Well, we've fallen down another rabbit hole. Jelle's is a different channel. Who knew that there's room in the world for two large Youtube marble racing channels with 1/2 - 1 million subscribers. Meanwhile the best windsurfing pros struggle to get 3-5k.
Participation awards and now marble racing. That’s actually depressing to watch.
Alan
... so, you watched it.
Yes I made it through two whole laps.

Your marble was losing? Or, were you losing your marbles?
I found it more exciting than Formula 1. More passing and saves about 50 million per car/marble.
Edit - dot is gone but still planning to go today. If there's no wind, I'll sit in the truck and watch marble videos.
Now I'm sitting here thinking of how would you make the fastest marble. I figure it probably needs to be as round as possible otherwise it loses speed wobbling. Also I'm thinking the surface roughness is important - too rough and friction will slow it down, but too smooth it might slide or slip. Maybe that would not be a problem. I need to build a test track to figure that out. The weight of the marble is also important. On a single lap race you probably want it to be heavier, but for multiple laps it won't get as much of a lift going through the device that pushes it up the hill. Elasticity also matters - you don't want to bounce too much going off of those little obstacles, or opposing marbles so a softer surface might be best. But a harder marble will likely have less rolling resistance. Also, the bigger the marble the better - more room for signage from your sponsors. This could be a great sport for cigarette and alcohol sponsors who have been banned by other forms of racing. Just using your brand color for the marble. Don't laugh - Marlboro and Kool sponsored cars for several years using their brand colors after the ban started. And they could give the marbles cool names like Smoky Joe, Juul or Morley. This guy could be on the broadcast team.

And read on about his skepticism - not what some would expect for an actor on the X-Files.
I think some of you have been in quarantine way too long.
