In case no one noticed the dots.

Your doing divine work, Randy. I noticed the GFS being a bit optimistic this morning. Glad to see the NWS output match up.

Re: Public Service Announcement

Hey, new friends! I just joined this group, and am excited to continue my love of all things water and wind related with other people that share a passion for it!!
I moved here from Kauai, Hawaii where I developed a love for big wave surfing and kite-surfing, and am looking for other friends to spend time in the water with while I try to learn the wind foiling thing! I really would love to get into wing-foiling because of the fascination I have with it, so please reach out to me if any of you are interested in that!!
Thanks, and I look forward to meeting some of you!!

Come join us. If the forecast holds, we'll be wind foiling this Sunday afternoon at Van Pugh Park North, on the south shore of Lake Lanier. ( I'll post if the weather changes and we decide not to go.)

Randy, thanks for that "Blast" from the past. If you guys haven't experienced "quarter mile mayhem" (1000 feet now) you can see the
top fuel dragsters just up the road in Commerce April 30-May 2. I know it is the polar opposite from wind sports, but I was convinced to
check the races out a few years ago and can't begin to describe the experience- power you can feel! I was hooked.
I hope some of you made it to the lake today, it was nice at the airport.

Sweet mother of pearl - which divinity did you piss off and end up here? Lol

Welcome to a wonderful place to live other than the fact that the wind sucks here. But, we make do. Anything foil will vastly improve your chances of joy whether it be kite foil, windfoil or wingfoil. Hit us up with any questions. We're usually pretty good about posting when and where we are going and everyone is mellow so don't be a stranger. If you see someone on the water, 95% chance it's one of us.

Conditions at the Lake far exceeded expectations. I’m glad Rhett encouraged me to make the drive. Full sun, kids playing in shorts, and the delicious aroma of BBQ smoke set the scene while rigging. Then the wind came up from the NE and it was game on for a fun afternoon of foiling with Rhett & Chris. Ed windsurfed in the gusts.

Thanks for mentioning that. I've never been to a drag race, but I have been to most every other kind of racing - Indy 500, Formula 1, Nascar, Sports cars, Late Models, Sprints, Midgets and MotoGP. So I'll keep an eye on that.

I'll keep an eye on it also, never been and it's right up the road. I want to go.

Re: Public Service Announcement

Drag racing aside, did anyone go yesterday? I was coming back from AL and it didn't seem windy enough to drive up at 3 pm and went to the Silver Comet.

Okay, we can return to the drag racing thread. Good

Sorry I missed that. Glad everyone had a good day. Thanks tp Randy for the heads up. I'll reuse that Sunday, Sunday, Sunday video until it's worn out meme.

I also went to my secret spot. Perfect place for a rare North wind. I wingfoiled..... Plenty of wind as well. Not enough to get up on the foil with my 4m* but otherwise plenty of wind. Al wingfoiled at Keith's Bridge.

*Or was it just lack of talent?

We'll just say that you might benefit from a 5.0. Biggrin Tell Al not to be a stranger here - his experiences could benefit others (ie me). Interesting that he went to wing instead of windfoil for lighter conditions given his preference for small boards in higher winds.
