Britt Viehman of North Beach Windsurfing shows an easy way to pump. He's a big proponent of the forward movement of the rig at the end. He was showing this to Langdon and me 18 months ago.
That got me curious so I looked at some of my old videos to see how I do pumping. In these two I don't think I did too bad based on his method. I was not very aggressive on the water because I was already moving about as fast as I was going to go (or I was just lazy). On land, I probably wouldn't even have been moving w/o pumping so I was more aggressive. For foiling I didn't really find any good footage where I was trying very hard and had a good camera angle. Then again, maybe I'm too lazy on water.....Or maybe if's different when I'm using a normal ws sail....

Randy, I've studied the thumbnail photos of both your videos. Not surprisingly, you both have the same stance and Britt has a few inches on you.
And, I think the big difference that stands out and would probably make you a more effective pumper: turn your hat around.
