Remember when Kelly Park was a windsurfing location?

For years, Kelly Park on Merritt Island FL was a windsurfing destination. Just across the bridge from Cocoa Beach, it's the home of Calema Boardsailing and numerous regattas over the years including the Mid-Winters.

Now, it's a wing destination, too!

I guess a lot of the windsurfers were over the other side of Florida at Fred Howard in Tarpon

That wing setup pictured belongs to Eric who was kind enough to give me some much needed winging instruction.

New years day was a lot busier than pictured with maybe 20 + kites, 15 windsurfers and 5 or 6 wings.

What? Winging instruction? Did you skip to Chapter 3 in the story and leave out some details?

Some really nice guy in Atlanta loaned me a wing to play with. I've played with it on the beach, on a sup, and tried it on my windfoil board. It's easier when someone tells you what you're doing wrong.

To clarify, no, I did not foil, I moved around on the foil board.
