I think more around 11:30am. I can't stay all day, so I probably will do a couple long sessions and get back on the road by 2:45pm. I think the big front foil wing and 7M will get my flying today...i hope. Again, anyone who would like to try or checkout the Wing is welcome. You got to get started training for the Spring Wing Regatta....that rhymes!!. Couldn't find the Palmless Mitts on-line....sold out...so attempted a alteration on an old pair.
Can one of the local pros confirm that Vans is the place to be today. Don't want to find out later everyone went somewhere else. Half the fun is trying to pass William!!! LOL
The Old Federal Road ran from the US, through the Cherokee Nation to Tennessee. Chief Vann got a prime location on the river after you crossed to place his tavern in return for him helping negotiate a treaty. I'd share more but it's pretty much about how Andrew Jackson was a *%@#

Interesting, how’d that work for you?
Every time I leave shore with a pair of gloves or open palm mitts on they are rolled up and stuffed in my suit within 10 mins.
I’m usually okay unless the temps drop below the mid 40’s by just slapping my hands together when my fingers start tingling.
I came in fourth place today. Langdon with his snow shovel, Steve and Neil were all getting out of the water early today. Kudos to them. They were all foiling with no whitecaps. We just missed the kite foilers for a complete foilsport afternoon.
Wind picked up late and Langdon and I practiced jibing. I think most people refer to that as swimming but we're sticking to our story.
Chris Pyron and Roland completed the crew with Randy lending moral support and wisdom.
What I don't get it why Lanier isn't dropping, esp. if West Point is so low. Seems they never got to 1069 by the end of November as were saying for dam repair.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
WestPoint is down 7ft.
Navionics app still shows plenty of deep water but if you’re foiling stay far far away from the markers.
Did you sail there today?
Nope I rode the trails. Nice day, I think it hit the mid 60’s down there.
It was windy enough to foil but I only had a couple hours between shopping and picking up Josh.
Randy, According to Gene ... Lanier COE decided to not lower it’s levels for dock work.

Will work allow?
What time?
Neal says he going around 10. I'm shooting for 12-1 if wind holds

Yes, Vanns (two "n"s) Tavern not Van (one) Pugh
Trivia time
Van was Mr Pugh's first name. His farm was either at/near the park
Vann was Chief James Vann (helped negotiate treaty that Jackson later broke) of the Cherokee Nation.

Here is Neal, showing us how it is done. I thought I was getting a video of Neal and William, but I never take phone videos so I screwed it up.
BTW - the wind at Gilmer was around 6 mph when I took this picture. (It was close to 1.)

I think we all made it work.
It was definitely light but I had a good time.
Wish I had bought the I99 earlier. Made a day like today fun

Enjoyable day.
I hope this answers all the questions.
