Our long nightmare is almost over.

#Faketime is over tonight at 2 am. Set your clocks back to #Realtime.

I would rather stay on a #faketime.
It gives us an extra our at night to sail.
Very important for those who are still working.

Being able to sail and cycle after rush hour and enjoy the evenings outside. Work hours are an artificial construct so moving them to have usable daylight is a good thing. We didn't have DST when I lived in Tokyo,, so we'd get up at 5 am to cycle in the daylight.

Fair point. I always thought that if you were to have daylight savings time, it made more sense to reverse it - you fall forward, so it would be light till 7-8 instead of 5-6. You would get 2 hours more than now. Then you spring back so instead of it being light till 9-10, it is light to 7-8. 4th of July Fireworks displays wouldn't have to start at 10 pm.

Back in the 74 "energy crisis" they tried doing DST all year but the problem was the safety issue of kids going to school in the dark. But that was back when a lot of us walked or cycled to school.

But I like your idea
