I like to think I have been improving my low wind foiling skills in Webguys absence. Or... Maybe I am under the illusion I have improved because there is not a red sail running laps around me.
Speaking of fast red sails. Make sure that y'all watch the video that Webguy posted of the kids in Clearwater.
Thursday east wind has been advertised on Windfinder for several days now. Unfortunately, it now seems it vanished in a puff of smoke. We haven't played the Windsport National Anthem for a while, so here it is.

It still amazes me that I heard that song a million times in college (it was a mainstay on our jukebox) and not until 30 years later did I know it was done by an English group.
Randy, did you change the vid? I liked the b&w version
I did. I like that version better, but for some reason on my computer it keeps pausing or fading out every few seconds. Amazing that it took decades to discover the true meaning of that song.
BTW- there is no truth to the rumor that this song is going to be played at the end of the last playoff game of every Atlanta and Georgia sports team for the rest of eternity. (Though I admit, fans leaving the stadium would probably be singing along.)

Well, our whining has paid off. Tabby* has put a dot in the afternoon forecast. And here's the best part - if you can rig and de-rig fast and drive fast you can catch the 2 pm dot at Laneir, then over to Galts and catch the 3 pm dot.

Gville is reporting E but wind is NE here.
Sitting on the bench underneath the pecan tree there is almost zero wind
Down my the water is where you can feel the breeze.
Several sailboats but they not moving very fast
I didn’t see you Langdon. Sailed long bored from the club. A little challenge getting off and back to the beach but got some good gusts even in the back straps once. Upwind downwind tuning up for the big race
Slipping out for an afternoon east session on a sunny day? The faint aroma of desperation.
(I know that aroma because I've worn it like perfume at times.)
I resemble that remark

Having withdrawals so I went Wind Sup’n at a local reservoir. Very gusty, Water is still nice though.

I went back to work...
Between the low wind and the boat traffic I deemed it not worth it.
Glad Chris got some sailing in
