With Hurricane Delta passing by, we arrived on Saturday with an epic forecast of a week of strong wind. Sunday morning a revised forecast showed almost no wind all week. Fortunately, there has been wind every day, but in the 15-20 mph range.
Today no wind was forecast, so mid-morning we went to the ocean to wave & paddle board, with our wives enjoying the sun. Despite the Fx, the wind came up form the South mid-afternoon and we rushed back to the sound. I sailed my 8.5m & 122L board, then switched to foiling with my 6.7m sail and finally called it quits when I was too tired to switch gear, as the wind picked back up before sunset. Altogether it was an outstanding day.

Wow, you got 15-20mph almost everyday? What a difference in 50 miles. My group is down in Avon and it has been an almost complete skunking - only 1/2 day of 15-20 the entire week.
Half way in between (Salvo) report
Wind has blown good at night and in the morning so I’ve got in 3 good planning sessions this week only because I got up at sunrise and hit the water. I was able to sail the SUP around 5pm to dark a couple evenings.
Had a very nice bike ride yesterday from the Cape Hatteras lighthouse to the Ferry’s.

Saturday is suppose to be big so I'm staying an extra day at Frisco woods Campground and leaving Sunday.
It's been a fun trip.

Dang, there is a good chance we crossed paths yesterday and didn’t realize it. I did almost the exact ride yesterday.
Well darn I wish I’d known. I left the lighthouse around 9am. I only remember seeing a few other cyclist in groups of two.

I met this guy Canadian hole, Mentioned I liked the retro paint scheme on his new Fanatic Ultra Skate, He was telling me about it and the new Fanatic Bee all in one board.....later on the water I was struggling to pull off my jibes and this guy was doing freestyle moves and forward loops off small chop. Lady later told me that he is Andy Brandt.
