Saturday- "Sunny, with a high near 89. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 10%."
I'll take it! I left my stuff at the club so I'm committed to going back there. After noon-ish. Gate: #1922

If the weather service would have predicted what we actually had today, I would have thought they were definitely smoking crack. Crazy day!

Perfect day for perfecting my latest freestyle move. I call it "Stairway to Doom." If you can't find a ramp to jump off of a floating soccer ball will do.

Glad you were ok and laughing it off now, Randy.
With that said:
That video is one for the archives!
Full disclosure: I clipped that thing myself yesterday - saw it, could have steered away but made an error in distance estimation and heard some part of my foil thump it as I went by. No launching or crashing was involved in my case but wouldn't want to try that again - a little too close for comfort it turns out and was lucky.
Looked like you guys were having fun out there! I snapped a couple pics from our sailboat
I actually was losing speed, and the board became unstable. Don't know why it turned that direction, but it could be the upwind sailing trick - you will sail toward what you are looking at so look where you want to go, not where you don't want to go......
Nice pics AWD_Tiger! Gene? or Langdon? Both were on Ezzy's.

Randy, that appears to be a fender? At least if you have to hit something, you chose something designed to absorb impact. Maybe we can get the Corps to put those yellow energy absorbing crash barriers on the reefs and rocks for us.
Yes, same principle in mtn biking - you stare at a tree orca rock that you are trying to avoid, you'll almost certainly hit it.
Definitely Barrett, who arrived late, after you've left. And Ed came even later, after everyone was out of the water i think.
Gene sailed 7.5 first and 6.0 later.
Yep, MTB 101: Where you look is where you go. Works in windsurfing, too. I'll see beginners getting all wibbly-wobbly looking at their hands, feet, board, water and I tell them to look up at the horizon and suddenly everything settles down like a switch just flipped. Helps in foiling, too. If you want to fly level, quit looking down the front of the board (like I do... ) and focus on the horizon, opposite shore, etc.
But I have such a pretty board - as you do. ?
