At Old Federal, not that good of day, BUT good crowd and FUN in spite of the conditions. Two kite foilers got a quick session in (David D now has it wired,) and Randy had his wing going and let me try it. Hamdi, Alan, Langdon, Jim Crooks, David Wade, Steve from Senica, and 2 or 3 new windsurfers who Langdon worked with, all hung out, ate some pizza (thanks David W) and even got on the water a little bit. , ,
As far as conditions, we had it all, no wind then hard wind during storms, we had sunny skies and storms, we had thunder and lightning, we had wind from the W, SW, NW, SE, S, and East, And we had fun.

Barrett, Z, Dave M, Neil, Reggie, Jason, Ed, Dmitri and I did Van Pugh. Breezy early on and then the wind died before the storms rolled through. Prior to the storm, the wind went way south so getting back to the launch in no wind while the storm was approaching wasn't going to happen. The wind then kicked up and it looked like VP would be right at the edge of the rain/electrics so I scooted to other side of the lake and parked on a beach.
After things wound down, ventured out and wind was up enough to foil. I saw Neil over on that side - with the big change in direction, he'd gotten all turned around. Wind proceeded to die so he paddled and I limped back. He and Reggie eventually thumbed a ride from a pontoon boat.
Wind continued to clock so, again, Van Pugh was directly upwind. Thankfully, another passing cloud to the north kicked the wind up again so I was able to foil back most of the way but the wind again faded but continued to clock.
By the time the day was over, I'd sailed, W, SW, S, SE, E, NE and almost N. I just needed NW to finish my Bingo card...

That’s one advantage of Old Federal on the Stormy SW days. You can sail close to the launch and get in quick if it starts booming.
I didn’t get much foiling time yesterday but got my best runs during the pouring rain. It was a pretty cool.

When the weather started turning, the wind shifted 90 degrees to S. That shift was more the challenge. Besides, I like my space.
Best foiling day at VP for me until wind dropped. Glad I came in and de-rigged before T- shower.
