I hope to sail as well and same as Gene in terms of timing and place. Forecast shows wind all day with rain predictions varying between sites - some hint at possibility of less or none earlier in the day?
That is my thought. Timing is the bigger question for me due to rain - will probably figure that out Tues am. For now (literally), mtn biking before trails get wet.
Unless it has some North in it, I plan to go to Old Federal, when the wind starts to blow and if it's not too stormy. Yesterday, we had some bad storms and the forecast is the same today as yesterday.

Ahh, the luxury of being able to get to the lake in a few minutes - between storms, errands, etc. without the 2hr prep plus drive the rest of us needs...??.
With that, i am also thinking OF IF there is long enough a stretch in forecast (3+hrs) to make a lake trip worthwhile.
PS: i shouldn't complain too much as i have that luxury with mtn biking, rowing, kayaking and SUP but bodies of water near me not suitable for foiling.
Not looking good. A lot of precip popping up behind the line of showers now coming in. Probably should have done a Hamdi and done an am session. If it's just breezy and wet behind these showers, who knows what my desperation will do.

I think it is over.
I'm heading to VP first and if I don't like it,
to Old Federal.

Well, Hamdi didn't get to 'do a Hamdi' this am, so heading to OF to join Gene.

There was Kite Foiling, Windfoiling and a slapper on the water at OF.
I had many good flights even though the wind was light.
Roiger has a large Moses wing and was defying physics.
Alan and Gene were getting a lot of flights in light wind
Hamdi was leaving when I got there but he had added some more miles to his kit.
Howard is improving a lot.
Barrett, Chris Pyron, Ed, Dmitri and myself at Van Pugh. Started a bit shaky but wind settled in and long rides with open space. My jibes sucked after swinging around a small sail last week. Today was the kind of day I dream about all winter...
I stopped by VP when Barrett was coming in. Not much wind so headed to the boat stopping at LLSC where it looked way better. Got in a sesh and hanged out watching rain roll by.
Gene, Hamdi and I got a nice long session at Old Fed after the rain stopped. I guess it was around 4 or 5p the wind died to the point the kiters were having to swim back in. Hamdi packed up and left, Langdon and Howard arrived and faithfully rigged then the wind came back up for a second session.
I'm in, timing and location depends on rain and wind. Might also blow on Wednesday.
Also, be careful driving around the lake, BABY DEER are everywhere, including 2 in my neighbor's fenced in back yard (pretty cool.)

It's SW.
Old Fed?
If lightning & rain clear in the afternoon I hope to sail. Van Pugh is best if it’s West.

The wind filled in about 15 min after Barrett got off the water. Ed said that Barrett has inherited Gene's role as "it got better after you left".
