A chance of breeze tomorrow mid-day or is that just an invite to rig in the rain? Asking because I have a friend (cough, Langdon, cough) who's acting a bit moody lately.
What are you guys seeing at West Point-Sun that I am missing?
Or some secret breeze only advertised to 'members only"?
Or, shooting for flights at 6mph wind now?
?
Joking aside, I assume I am missing something?

Yes, you have to use more than one model. GFS is forecasting more influence from Cristobal than Euro. It's a crap shoot but one worth keeping in mind. Windmapper is essentially GFS
Not to be a Debbie Downer but check the radar before your go.
Also, this video about riding before a t-storm is on point even though it is a kitesurf vid. It applies to all manner of windsport be it kitesurf, windsurf or wingsurf. Doesn't mean its a good idea though......

Hope springs eternal. Looking ahead– maybe the jet stream isn't done with us yet?
I’m hoping for Sunday at West Point.

That looks good. I think I'm roped into something this weekend. Need to check. I think you could drag Langdon down there with just a gossamer thread.
You cannot allow someone the gift of flight and then deprive them of said gift without negative consequences...
Yes I could go to West Point

Windmapper shows 12 to 17, ESE though, probably better at one if the Bama parks. Iffy forecast but I need to be close to there anyway.

Grasping much?

Fridays forecast continues to improve I hope to go around 1 or so.
I can go to OF or VP. Or wherever youins think there is less boat traffic
I don't think it's going to matter on a Friday. All other things being equal - I love me some open water.
Recalling the Epic Four Days of Fay. OTOH, Opal was kinda like Cristobol’s forecast track and that b*tch was trubble aplenty.

Opal hit while I was in OBX. Lisa still holds it against me.

I'm in, Van Pugh I guess unless it has too much south (or lightning) in it.

Well, at least my flowers are about to get watered.
10.20 report, my house, rain and thunder.
Edit - hard rain, one thunder.
Edit - very hard rain and more thunder.

So far things are not looking good...
2nd unfruitful trip to VP in a week - gotta get better at planning. However, plan B in progress and looking promising to save the day after all.
A little breeze on the river now, hopefully enough for those still at VP to get some rides (and put my leaving to good use).
