Fri -Sun 5/29-31 Not much of a chance but we can hope

Tomorrow looks like it requires divine intervention. On Saturday, the GFS model is suggesting the hint of just enough. Really at the margin, though. Sunday is interesting because it's NE and sometimes those tend to outperform in the am.

Let's face it. At this point, I'm admittedly grasping at straws. Probably should just take out the really big thing I have with sails and, more importantly, an internal combustion engine. This is, after all, Atlanta.

Catalinas are great in 8+, less than that
I recommend trout fishing.

When I think of rowing, it's not as a sport. Lol

Yes, yes... just a nudge up, please. (Dots - gusts - usually appear once the base wind strength reaches 10). Go ahead and get my hopes up just so they can be dashed tomorrow.

Randy, you never offend my sensibilities. Ponder, Pine, Vineyard, Signal and Red Top Mountains, on the other hand... Biggrin

I do appreciate your efforts to alleviate my misery. Alas, I'll stare at the water this weekend contemplating my sad existence .

Barrett and I are considering going to Van Pugh around 3 if anyone else is interested. If it's crowded, we'll then try Old Fed.

text me at 404-313-0437 if you are interested.

The wind was actually good. The boat chop was about as brutal as I can remember. Still had fun. Barrett, Mauricio (late) and I sailed VP. Hamdi showed up (and helped me get a good spot) but his spot was around the corner so he bagged it and went for a bike ride. Langdon got locked out of Old Fed took a look at Holly and decided to bail. Dave and Dixie Delozier stopped by on their boat and said hi right after I foiled out on a boat wake. At least I was entertaining. Shok

Peggy joined me & saved the day. We arrived just as the entrance closed. Fortunately a space opened up and Peggy held it for me. Then she held a space for Mauricio. As William reported, the boat wakes & chop turned out to be a challenge, but at least I got out for my second foil run. I didn't last long, but it was worth the effort to get out on a summer day with a breeze. Fortunately, William went far out of sight, so onlookers were impressed with my feeble attempts, giving me a round of applause when I came in. Peggy knew what good foiling looks like, and was happy I didn't get hurt.

Glad it worked for you guys. What board and sail are you using for foiling?

Thanks for the good vibes, sir. I was on usual 130l 7.7 1000cm2 wing
Barrett on 140l-ish (similar shape). 6.7, 2100cm2 wing.

I sailed up to in front of the sailing club past Aqualand when I did my disappearing trick. The water was much calmer there because boat wakes tended to be in line with the wind chop rather than perpendicular. Wind wasn't as strong so headed back towards VP. There's a reason why we put up with the idiosyncrasies of the place.

Nice avatar? Is that from Heironymus Bosch?

No - I decided it was time to get better PPE. It's a plague doctor mask.
