Word on the street is that the beach parking lot at Galts is still closed. The boat ramp, which is open, is absolutely shadowed on a SE wind. Randy suggests Victoria Landing as an alternative if anyone that way wants to get out tomorrow.
Full disclosure - I've only sailed at Victoria twice and never on a SSE as shown in the NOAA forecast for today. Just looking at the map it seems like it would work, but no guarantees. This is not a "high conviction" type day.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Other potential SE options are Red Top Mtn S.P. boat launches at Webster's Ferry and Bethany Bridge. No, I haven't actually tried these on SE. I've sailed Webster's Ferry on NW and it was decent (on the Allatoona scale) but narrow.
I will likely sit this one out as I have other stuff going on, plus SE can be fluky anyway. OTOH, perhaps my sacrifice will help others...
Air time was had at Vanns late this afternoon. Probably flew 40-50% of the time. Since I was already around the corner, definitely a pleasant surprise as I fully expected to bob up and down for an hour. Looking forward to Monday.
Monday still looks like an evolving situation. GFS and Euro are still spitting out two very different scenarios regarding the timing of the rain. I wish I could give a you a simple answer but it's rare that both models are so far apart 72 hours out. Tuesday is a possible, too.
Langdon and I were discussing this. It's not about forgetting - you haven't. It's just for another hit of those sweet, sweet endorphins.
Been out of town all day. Tomorrow is a crap shoot. I think a pro would tell you that the "probability distribution of possible outcomes is unusually wide." Wish I had more to offer.
I think I am going to punt today, Monday and try tomorrow around 11:30am. Drive sucks, so looks like odds are better for Tuesday. Windy also shows gusts over 30 today, I don’t want anything to do with that until I get a 3M.

Knowing when not to go can be as important as knowing when to go...

I've got a sore back which I'm trying to get back to normal, so I'm waiting for it to get better.

Where will you guys go out Monday? I am definitely in. I got to get back out there so don’t forget what I have learned. Is wind SW, Monday?

All sorts of stuff bubbling up
Any plan yet for tomorrow? Looks like a window of clearing between the rain systems. But wind doesn’t look very strong. What do the Pro’s say?
