Panama city FL launch sites

Looking for any experience / guidance for launch sites near Panama city beach (ideally within 1hr driving). I am considering this weekend, possibly starting thurs 1/30 afternoon. Couple days are calling for E / NE winds and couple days W /NW winds. If you know about depth (suitability to foiling), that will be of great help. From a quick search, some possibilities I see are Carl Gray Park and St. Andrew's State Park. A little further in distance, there's of course Cape San Blas (or Destin); prefer not to drive that far if I don't have to. Suggestions?

The Gulf is deep. That’s the only place I’ve ever windsurfer there..
With a East wind, worse case scenario you’d just end up in Mexico.

The guys at liquid surf and sail may know some good Foiling spots though.

If the ocean is too rough, you can go to the far west side of PC and find an inland lake about 1 mile inland from the ocean. I think the lake is called Powell lake. Goggle maps will show it. I have sailed it often when waves where too big to get through the surf.

Several launch sites on S end and N end of the lake. Only thing to watch out for is alligators.

There is also another lake just next to the ocean. This lake is at a campground and is smaller. This lake is about 1 mile west of Seagrove Beach. You can launch from 30A.

We used to race there on the north side of Hathaway Bridge, launching from a motel on the west side. Pretty sure it's gone now but Carl Gray Park on the east side looks like a place you could go from. Not sure of the depth near shore. Let us know what you find! Good
