Still cold but not bitey like a couple of weeks ago. The next week won't help though. Barrett was in a 3/2 yesterday which worked until he took a dip and then not so much. I was hot in my 4/3 but a couple of blown jibes took care of that. Didn't need gloves or a beanie.
Chris V. may have had better luck getting photos with his drone. I tried to take pictures of the action with my telephoto lens, but didn't let sailors, who might want a photo, know to come in close to shore. Fortunately Langdon came within a couple hundred yards and I snapped this photo. There was not a whitecap in sight, and he was up foiling!

Glad you got a good one of Langdon. He's been such a good sport taking time to GoPro us as we fly by. For all the non-foilers, Langdon started his foil journey just a year ago as an early intermediate windsurfer. Well done, Langdon! And, thanks Barrett!
btw, Barrett, that's a heck of a lens. I just noticed the reef markers all the way up at Three Sisters in the background.
I was looking forward to seeing a short clip posted, and am thrilled to see an edited movie with accompanying music track. I'm surprised you got such nice scenes considering the light, gusty sailing conditions and difficulty in maneuvering the drone without crashing into us. Thanks so much!
Edit: See if this doesn't motivate you to get out and enjoy the day.

12ish for me
I’m aiming to arrive about Noon.

We have already reached 5.7m weather!
That was fun!
What he said
Dale Cook sailing in the Gorge on the 15th. Water temp: 41 degrees
What is the Lanier water temp? Seems like usually it drops to mid forties by now.
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

Oh man.... I've been waiting patiently for this for days. Super job. Complete with Paul Van Bellen style music.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Edit: I cloned Chris's post as a front page story. That music is going to be my soundtrack for a long while.
Thank you Chris!
