Larry Nicholls, a long time member of the community, both windsurfing and kiteboarding is facing a challenging time at the moment. He's been battling complications from shoulder surgery he had in late November. This setback was unexpected after an otherwise routine procedure. I spoke with Carol Moon who said the next few days will be important in his recovery. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Larry has always been super active, windsurfing, kiting, mountain biking (he was out in Moab this fall) and wakeboarding. He was the fellow who drove his boat beside me while I foiled in Chris's drone video.

I'm sorry to pass along that Larry passed away last night. For details about arrangements, etc: https://www.facebook.com/larry.nicholls.35/posts/2817441588287332
I had a chance to see him this past weekend and his memories of windsurfing and his windsurfing friends still brought a smile to him.
From his facebook page:
That's terribly sad news. I always enjoyed seeing Larry whether at the lake or at our Christmas Party. He will be missed by all of us that knew him.
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Very sad. Here's a couple pics from August 2012 where he took Scott G., Andrew B., and myself wakeboarding on Lanier in his vintage Ski Nautique.

Bummer. I never saw Larry without that fantastic smile. He’s the guy that pegged the fun meter.
I didn't know Larry but I'm sorry for the loss of a friend to all of you.
