Just two turns. That first acceleration and then slingshot downwind and then the laydown at the end. All in NASCAR fashion - left, left. Biggrin

Are you foiling Sunday?

Another one filed under the Heartbreak category: Matteo Iachino was closing in on both the PWA overall title and New Caledonia event championship when he hit a sea snake.

Quote:
Iachino started the day with a 2.7 point advantage, but he soon saw that lead evaporate into a 5.7 point deficit after the completion of Elimination 9. The Italian looked to have made an excellent start to the first semifinal, but he soon lost speed on the opening reach and rapidly dropped back through the pack after unbelievably hitting a sea snake. Iachino tried to stage a come back but just missed out in 5th place.

500m windfoil record set on Zeeko aluminum foil

Quote:
I-m so happy RECORD (still) beaten in windsurf foil !! 31.89 knots on 500m! Shok

The month that comes to complete the year 2019 promises to be highly contested, and not at the top of the table!

Listen to Damien Le Guen who explains behind the scenes of his feat:
"The conditions were not too bad, between 15 and 25 knots north-east and mostly flat sea. I used the usual equipment, the future foil Exocet-Original Fusion aluminum with the wing of speed, a freefoil 132 AST and the pre-production of the Gold Foil in 6.0. The top is the pair board and foil because it is material already available in the shop (under the name of Zeeko foil) and especially at very affordable rates! For sailing we finish the development and it will be available at the beginning of the year. When we look at the traces of each, we can see when the hardware is stable or not, the Vmax are closer to V500 plus the material is stable, I let you judge!
Last week I fell in the footsteps we had done the previous year and we almost gained 4 knots, it's huge. Thanks to the speed base we work to make the equipment more efficient and easier and progress quickly.
The year is not over, it remains the record in slalom to go but for that it will be necessary that the wind bangs a little! We can also improve the time in foil, at Exocet we have plenty of ideas to progress in speed and foil in a general way. "

Congratulations to you Damien, but I think the followers have not said their last word ... Smile
