Windfoil Gulf Coast Championship Clearwater Community Sailing Center, Clearwater, FL: October 25 - 27, 2019
Just added to the calendar. Should be a good event to race Windfoils in Florida. Racing will be at one of three nearby locations depending on the conditions.

It’s a great time of year in Clearwater. Not so busy with tourists so accommodations are available and more reasonable.
Should be a blast!

I might go, not necessarily to race.
I sure it will be fun and maybe learn a little bit more
I might go and participate if they have a class for "old dudes likely to finish last". Racing is always a great way to polish skills - I just have to get over myself and the likelihood that I'll be in everyone's rear view mirror.
If I decide to participate in the race then that should remove Webguy's rear view mirror concerns.
I have already marked on the calender at work that I will be out for this
Race organizers are open and willing to doing a Sport Division to be more inclusive of non-race foil gear. Don't feel like you need a 9.0 and carbon foil to participate.

When Langdon and I rest up from the drive, we'll give a recap. It was an amazing couple of days racing (Fri/Sat - today was a bust) from 10-25 mph winds. Our thanks to CCSC, Justin, the race committee and the mentorship of Ron, Tim, Christophe and Britt. The U19 gaggle, including the runner up, Noah Lyons, were amazing and I'm sure you'll be hearing about this group in the years to come.
If you are wondering, I "participated". The big dogs would do 2 laps in the same time I did one. Lots of practice to do this winter.
Photos from CCSC Facebook page-
I failed to make "participate" level.
I did manage to the level of " getting in everybody's way" during one race.
I learned a lot. Them folks are fast like I have never seen before.
And they rigged big in high wind...
I tried the 8.2 in some plus 20 mph gusts and did my impression of Rick Moranis (Spaceballs) going "ludicrous speed" for a short duration and then probably looked like a bad bull riding event until the inevitable atomic splash.
I did have a great time and a big thanks to Britt giving me tips and for Justin for hosting the event.
For those who ,might be interested: Alex Morales is trying to put together an event in Feb in Miami. I think Langdon and I would be onboard.
Not sure if I’ll race but would like to go.
