We still need a few warm bodies to help on race committee. If you want a FRONT ROW seat on the race course, this is it. No experience necessary but a little arm strength is a plus for the occasional pulling of anchor lines for the marks. Call me at 404.386.8505
If that's what it takes, sure. You are in. Bring it Saturday.
In other news, next good east day at Vann's Tavern, we are going board sledding down the hill on a Mistral Corruption. Seriously. if you ever go to OBX, Fred Howard, etc, grab this board. It'll be fun to use on that one day out of 20 when it's blowing like stink. Meanwhile, it'll be at my house so Randy can race.

You asked for it. Perfect foiling weather. Rather telling that NOAA just discovered this 3 days after Windfinder and Iwindsurf were showing an easterly on Saturday.

BTW - the perfect board for Big Saturday's winds will be present and available for free (If it hasn't been claimed already. There is one potential claimant already).
I have a 3.7 sail. There is a solution for foiling when there is too much wind at Lanier. You need two things - a short mast (easy to make - borrow one from a friend and cut it down to size). and gas money to go to Galts. I found a few weeks ago that when I used my regular mast I became airborne (foil and all). But when I used my 14 inch mast, I was sort of under control. You need to open both of these videos to get the full benefit of my instructional video. You will want to put the first video in its own tab to get the soundtrack. (The greedy jerks that own the copyright won't let me use their music as my soundtrack even after I paid a buck for it on Amazon.)

It turned out to be a fun regatta in spite of all the rain Saturday.
Chris, Debbie and the other folks at the Sailing club did a really good job bringing it all together
I've always had fun at the regatta whether the wind was 0 or 30. This year was no exception (and I think the range was 5 to 25). My thanks, too, to Chris, Debi, the sailing club, the race committee, Cody and Progressive Sports for the board charters and all the volunteers who make it happen.
I'm in.
Amy will be coming to watch Sunday am
I might come if anybody wants to claim the prize I'm offering to the first person that asks for a free windsurf board.

I'm racing. Can help on the committee boat between races if needed. I’ll be up on the boat Wednesday Thursday Friday if any pre race prep is needed.
Also heard a rumor the guys from Shell Point want to ride Chicopee Trails Friday, I’m in for that too!

Saturday: 0900-1000 - Registration & Check-in. 1030 - Competitors’ Meeting. 1130 - First possible start.

Sunday: 1000 - Racing Resumes 1300- Last possible start"
As a spectator, or if you just wish to sail or socialize on any of these days you can go about time you want.

Do you have any free 3.0 -3.5m sails with matching masts that you could bring for Saturday?
Windalert is probably wrong but they have 16g44 in the afternoon.
Asking for a friend who only brought a foilboard and a longboard

The current wind (11mph @ 11am) on Lanier is already outperforming the forecast.
