That must have happened as I was leaving. I didn't see the other windsurfer out there at that time so I don't know who it was. Eddy O. had been sailing earlier but was done before I quit at 2:45. It took me a while to pack up so I think I was leaving when all that was going on. I recalled seeing a fire truck coming with flashing lights and they went to the west side of the parking lot (I was on the far east side). So that must have been related. It was very confusing because it was "Clean Up the Lake Day" and there a lot of people there for that. It was very windy day at Galts - going on a float could have been dangerous w/o a life jacket. There were park rangers present - seems that they would have been warning people or at least suggesting life jackets be worn, though they may have been too busy dealing with crowd control, parking, etc.
