Not very expensive but why would I use quick release harness lines?
Remember the old "I'm trapped under my sail by my harness lines and can't get loose" horror story? Only reason I can think of. Not a good enough one for me.

Swap line length quickly seems pretty handy. Probably a lot easier to put on the boom without having to remove the tail piece. And, if I meet a kite in a dark alley one night... I can detach like a salamander ditching his tail.
