Well, actually TS Barry. The low spinning in N GA today has a high probability of developing into a tropical system in the Gulf later this week

An area of low pressure over Georgia on Monday morning was headed south towards the Gulf of Mexico at about 5 mph and has the potential to develop into a tropical storm late this week after emerging into the Gulf. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) designated this system as Invest 92L on Monday morning. Regardless of development, a large section of the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico should expect to see very heavy rains of 5+ inches Tuesday through Sunday.

There was some hint of an east wind tomorrow, so I was thinking of Tidwell or MAP if it looks like it is actually materializing. Not sure if that is related to or superseded by this development.

Related. Was eyeing that this morning. Ya gotta get out in the clear winds, my man. Tidwell at least.
Rode the new board w 7.3 - seems to fly earlier and no mean streak or evil tendencies noted so far, though it is tippier as compared to my 100 cm formula board despite having about 30 more liters of volume. Pretty much able to get flight(s) on every run. Tidwell 10-11 AM.

Just now looking at my namesake storm. Current forecast shows GA low moving into Gulf & looping back to come ashore as T. Storm near New Orleans.

Wow, must be nice to be a buck forty ? My 206 lbs. needs around 12 or so to even think about flying.

Hamdi and I did Vann's. I had to be up here anyway and was delighted to see another car in the lot. Actually there were a lot of cars in the lot as summer day camps have apparently discovered Vann's beaches.
Hamdi did the Kona thing. I did my usual. We both had lots of fun. It is so stinkin' nice to windsurf fresh warm water. Please don't tell me about the brain eating amoeba and let me live in my little bubble.
5 stars. Would recommend to a friend.
How did I miss sailing in wind with my name on it? There were only 2 dots in the forcast. I was out on a group bicycle ride, when around 10- 11AM, I noticed wind in the trees. Surprised you had enough wind at the Lake.
Barrett
Enough? Plenty, my good sir. Plenty.
Yes Barrett, you too could come into the glamorous world of foiling. The only skill required is saying or even just typing your credit card number.

Randy, please confirm what I thought I heard around 0:29

Reminding myself to breathe. Sometimes I forget. I do that all the time.
Btw Alan 10-11 Was the time I sailed not the wind. I would guess it was 12 on up when i got up. I'm hoping to get more efficient than that.

NOLA is already getting hammered with rain with much more to come. Usually, the river is down this time of year so hurricane effects aren't strong but the Mississippi is still in flood stage.
The models are all over the place with this system - some predicting Fl, others TX and intensities from TD to Cat 1.
Edit: Interesting pic of NOLA's geography
