Maybe Today, Mon 6/24

If it blows, I'll probably head to Old Fed today.

VP for me if I get my chores done. Preference for open water and not having to drag my gear over the yellow swim rope. But that's just me. Biggrin

Edit: Just took a look at the radar and there's a pretty impressive line about to cross into AL. Tomorrow may be a better/safer option

Just FYI - that line seems less impressive now than it was a hour or so ago.

There is no off season.

Per Randy's comment that line of storms seems to have rained out, so Wm., Chris P. & I plan to sail at VP after an early lunch. Please post if you can go.

I sailed 7.3 at one of my secret spots. Got a number of flights, even more than Saturday. Think 7.3 v 6 helped.

There is no off season.

It must be a secret spot since I'm the only one who ever goes here.

There is no off season.

Today was "event filled" but it all turned out okay. Gilmer was only reporting 10 ish in the afternoon but it built up to a pretty solid 15-20 by late afternoon.

Pro tip: Look upwind every once in a while. That dark thing just might be a squall line. Biggrin

I know Gene (and those guys who still say the moon landing never happened) will probably be saying "I want receipts" to prove I'm not just making up my foiling flights. So here is some pretty compelling proof. (Some camera angles adjusted to protect the secrecy of my secret spot.)

There is no off season.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on Lake Lanier

Quote:
In addition, rescue crews pulled a kayaker to safety after she had trouble trying to make it to shore because of strong waves in East Bank Buford Dam Park.

The kayaker was able to make it to an island and provided her location to the Swiftwater Team via pictures and Google Maps on a cell phone. The Swiftwater Team was able to find her and return her safely to Lanier Park without any reported injuries.

When you finally foil through a jibe, start giving yourself a mental fist pump; and immediately touch down.

(Don't worry about the cyclist. He came in second...)

Way to go Randy!!! The sound effects seem to confirm you foiled - out of public view - at your secret spot.

Looks like someone found my secret spot. Fortunately, I don't think he will be back.
