May 4-5

Weekend agenda (so far)
Saturday looks like rain in N. GA. West Point looks kind of interesting, though as it might be far enough south to avoid some of the rain coming in.
Sunday looks very good if the rain clears out in time.

If neither of these work for you, go stay with Barrett in Nags Head Biggrin : https://windsportatlanta.com/content/obx-trip-room-avail-starting-saturday-42919

If we didn't have to be in Macon Saturday I'd join you on West Point.

SW12 to 17 for Lake Tobesofkee in Macon. we will be at
Claystone park from around 11a to 5p, taking my board and foil just in case

As a rule, I refuse to windsurf anyplace I can't pronounce. Hence, I can windsurf at Rodanthe or Salvo but not Chicamacomico. Honestly, Rodanthe is pushing it, though. I used to tell everyone I was staying in Waves, NC.

I made plans based on yesterdays NWS forecast, so I'm NOT going today.

There will be at least one representative from the kite crew at Old Fed this afternoon. Hopefully the point will not be completely fenced off by fishing poles.

Best of luck everyone keep the stoke.

Rogier, how was Old Fed? Saw the video on FB. You looked good!

We had five foils and two "slappers" down at Van Pugh. Wind finally kicked in after a the last shower came through and it filled in behind it. Around 3 kicked up to a pretty consistent 12-20 and got better (less gusty) as the day went on. A fair amount of boat traffic but it matters significantly less 18 inches above it.

Langdon (late of Canadian Hole), Chris V., Randy, Alan and I foiled. Chris P looked great on the classic Superlight and Mauricio batted clean up with a regular board and looked like he was cooking along. Josh and Mac spectated; and provided advice and moral support.

This was the kind of day you think about when your fingers are numb in January. Van Pugh was not that crowded but I imagine the weather held off a lot of the usual picnic crowd.

Even though I don't know what the heck i'm doing yet, Foiling sure does make those warm 10 to 20 days a lot more fun.

Kind of gives you a smug feeling in the thick of voodoo chop to just rise above it. I'm glad the boats cleared out later for Mauricio to get some good conditions... made me pine for a regular board, (sort of).

I was reminded several times that 'tis the season for less seasoned boaters. Shok Be careful out there!

Happy to hear it was good later. Based on the forecast I decided to get there around 11. Was decent, thats when David Reed came by with the boat, until the rain clouds came. Did get about 1 hour in.
