Exocet Longboard on CL Tallahasse

This board was supposed to be a rocket ship when it came out a few years ago. It's quirky but probably one of the fastest longboards on the water under 15 mph wind. These were supposed to be fragile due to the lightweight construction due to the orientation towards performance (you don't make a 380cm board lightweight by making it bulletproof) so you may want to enquire about its health before driving down.

Wow - a number years ago (5-10?) I found a board like that (maybe that very one) on Windsurf Classified for $1500 (in GA no less) and was very tempted to buy it. Since I had my unsold Serenity at the time I didn't. Looks like waiting pays off. So if I wait another ten years will it go for $30?

There is no off season.

I’m told it’s “in good shape”. It will be one of the items for auction at the Steven C. Smith regatta next month at Shell Point. There is usually no minimum for auction items, so you might can scoop up a sweet deal AND help to raise money to benefit cancer patients and their families in the area.

The Smith regatta annually raises $20-30K at the auction while honoring the Shell Point traditions of decadence and debauchery... well, a PG rated, geriatric version.🤪

Different classes of boat are entered including multihulls and keelboats but windsurfers are the biggest group. Eric and Servane are taking their Hobie down. It’s quite a scene on the beach and it's very spectator friendly. I found this shot from a few years ago– lo and behold there's the board!

Shell Point is an easy and scenic (after you get off 75) 5 hr drive. The beach was totally renovated just before Michael blew through there last year, but I think it's mostly put back together now. Debi goes for the party (dancin' on the beach!) and to visit her Tally buddies but also jumps in to the Novice fleet casual and fun "racing" near shore.
