Motorists who travel I-985 should prepare once again for delays and lane closures as the latest step in the road’s makeover gets underway Monday.

Georgia DOT crews will begin working during the day on I-985’s northbound lanes to replace concrete slabs. This work will close the right lane between I-85 and State Route 20 on weekdays between 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and continue through Friday, April 5.

Additionally, the grinding and striping project will begin Monday night in the same area. This project will require lane closures overnight between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday to Friday.
