Rogier discovered Old Fed completely closed on Saturday!! Looks like only a few parks on Lanier are open due to high water, anybody heard anything about this?

Edit: Didn't he end up going to Tybee this past weekend? That's what he said his plans were Thursday.
Interesting sat images. Wonder what the big bunch of lights up in N. Dakota is? It's not a big city or forest fire. (Hint - it's been featured on "What on Earth").

What a whacky yet so typical NW Lanier day not the forecast "15 to 25" but "15-2-25". Wind finally kicked in around 3 going from 5-8 to the low twenties. Gene and I foiled on 4.5/4.7 respectively which was perfect for the first 30-45 minutes but later on we both wished we were on 5 somethings, Chris was on a 5.8 (I think) and Barrett on an 8.5. All of us were at some point a) way powered up b) thrilled; or c) bobbing up and down waiting for the next puff. I don't know what Rogier kited on but I think David was on a 15.
This was my first time foiling on such a small sail. It will fly in 12-14 mph amazingly but it takes 17 or so to get it off the water. Pumping is weird because there is almost nothing to pull against until you start to get decent caps.
btw, don't be fooled by Rogier's shorty. I didn't get the feeling back in my toes for an hour after wearing 2mm booties. It's still cold.
I pity the defendant...
I'll be there. (At VP, not the court house.)
btw, the water is dropping again.
+1, at 2

What the frack are you talking about?

Fudge. Forecast notched up. I have to load the freeride board into the car.
Count me in for this afternoon. Love the GOES - NOAA images.
Barrett

Barrett, nice pics of the Old Federal refugees.
