Want to be wind optimistic?

Fun fact - I've often noticed of late a profound difference in wind forecast speeds between the NWS graph I keep for my home location and those that I check for Gainesville/Lake Lanier. You could check this by entering 30307 zip for location. Right now, for instance, my graph shows higher base winds and a solid string of "dots" from now until 1:AM Sunday. I don't really think that it's windier here than there, but who knows?

I think it's not unusual. I usually check forecasts for Gilmer and McCollum or Dobbins depending on the season. Usually one is better than the other. Most often G-ville is stronger, but lately there have been times when the forecast was stronger on the west side.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

Dots. Dots everywhere for Gilmer. Somebody bumped the NWS servers last night? Langdon is making noises about Vanns this afternoon.
