Monday NW Wind

Please post if you can go Monday. I'd like to sail in the afternoon at Van Pugh. The forecast wind & direction look good, and although the high is only mid-40's, it should be sunny.

Glad you are feeling well.

Good news is the walk will be short. Shok

After playing on the water Friday and Saturday, not as much debris as feared as I think the strong winds last weekend helped clear a lot of stuff away.

Touch and go - not right but not willing to stop unless I have to.

Looks like we have a small group, so I'm heading to VP, arriving about 2PM.

Chris P., Rhett & I met up at Van Pugh. William joined us, but after seeing 39F on his car thermometer, decided not to sail. The water level was down enough for most of the debris to be deposited like a big bathtub ring, around the shore. Rhett foiled successfully with a 5.2m sail. Chris was on a 5.8m & I used my 7.0m. Rhett took a spill hitting a large submerged branch, but there was no damage done. Other than having cold hands, we agreed it was a fun day in the sun.

I rolled up at around 2. The thermometer in my car read 39 - Barrett said his said 41. No matter. Neither number worked for me. Snapped some pics of B, Rhett and Chris P. Hope they had a good day - my hands were cold just from holding my phone. Getting them wet didn't seem likely to improve anything.

5.8 for me - pretty marginal, but my knee stayed relatively intact. It didn't feel that cold to me.
