Looking at maybe going south to West Point Saturday and Sunday looks interesting locally.

Hmmm.
Lanier is getting a better forecast according to NOAA, You worried about the Dome of Desolation at Lanier?

Saturday? Both Euro and GFS showing from 1-3 mph more down south plus it will be warmer. NWS graph shows dots down south but none in Gainesville. I'm thinking dome not such an issue because we can launch from near the dam. Of course, it might be raining so this will all be moot.

Sunday is much better up north. 15-25 vs 10-17.

When water gets really cold it’s a lot of fun.

So I've heard. My friend from Toronto just took up ski kiting last week.

When the parking lot gets cold, wet and empty, and the wind blows (like today) it is also a lot of fun.

If Radny and LaserBoy Gene smoked crack. Powered by industrial strength frog rock... sounds like Les Ramones, oui? Shok

If Radny smoked crack he would probably like music like this.

Radny, by chance, you picked a band that actually kicked one if not two members out because of their drug use. Heroin - killing musicians since at least 1955.

--- The Arrogant Jerk: Crabby and irritable since 1998.

See - guys who smoke crack don't know stuff like that. Yes 3 I know nothing about the current music scene. I thought Portugal the Man was a woman, until I was told otherwise.

And, Portugal the Man sounds almost nothing like their singles live. Hate to break it to you Radny but we are both old. Jimmy Chamberlin was fired from the Pumpkins in 1996 - the year of my first, and some would say only, planing jibe. Biggrin
