I am going to try to go Thursday at lunchtime.
Air temp will be ~70, water temp is still being disrespectful

Dome effect likely. Expect gusty winds. This is one time that fetch is not our friend.

Dome effect...
Can we use a smaller area of the lake?

My flights are still short, Gene and I stayed in about a 200 yard area while we were at Fred Howard.

A large pond would almost do for us to practice,
Maybe someone has a large outdoor heated pool?

SSW - This might be one of those times when Keith's Bridge (the west side) goes off while everything else (Old Fed, Sunrise, Vann's) is domed out. It is a bit of pain to get out of the cove - a longboard helps. My friend Al (who found this place) carries his shortboard and rig through the woods to get to a launch. Water is now high so things may have changed. I haven't been there in quite some time.

I also had some good times at Tidwell on a deep SSW - but you have to sail quite a ways to get into the channel. MAP could work, but it needs to be quite close to due South. Little Ridge could be better than MAP.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

Downside is if anything breaks, next stop is...

And so it begins. Sorry 2

The Dome Effect seems to be in effect. If it remains, I’ll probably just hang out at my ... domicile. Dirol I've been watching it like this:

Friday looks a bit cooler but still okay and NW.

I'll bring my mountain bike just in case if I head up Thursday.
No domes on Chicopee.

There is always Holly Park on the North Side of Gainesville.

I am also looking at Randy's suggestion of Keith Bridge

Maybe we can live lake reports from Wednesday wind. Thursday should be about the same but stronger

If the forecast for NW wind holds, I plan to sail at Van Pugh Friday afternoon.

And so it goes. Gilmer is reporting 15-20 and the LLSC isn't showing a whitecap. I was thinking of sneaking up today but too much to do. This makes me feel better

Tomorrow is gonna be amazing. Sun comes out after noon, vertical mixing brings wind down to punch through the dome– voila ! Epic day!
Just have to hang on 'til tomorrow... it's only a day away! Shok

I am going along with the optimistic viewpoint of Foildude.

I sure do not want to be at the factory on a 75+ day in February.

Ahem... Gents? Ladies? Drop a comment. I'm getting in the car in about an hour after I pretend to be useful around here.
