With epic wind paired with freezing cold, I wonder how William, Langdon & Gene are doing down in warm Florida? Guys, please post a trip report. Hopefully conditions are as good as I imagine them to be.
It's been good so far. I'm going to post pics later. Yesterday was 70 and south 15-20.
Today was chilly low 50s NW 25-30. Everyone was on 4.5 or smaller. It's been fun getting Simon back on the water.
I got back last night about 1 am so this is just a morsel of yesterday - 65 and powered up on a 7.0. Langdon took enough pics to make a gallery page. I'll work on that tonight. Gene and Langdon got some foil time in. Simon - a wind snob since age 8 - scored 6.3 and 4.5 days. Dave D. was the kiter who visitors would point to and go "Oooooo...." (Seriously, they were standing beside me.) plus he took Simon's kit out Sunday and renewed his membership in the windsurf secret society. I got some new foils wet and more about that later, too.
Nice write-up and looking forward to the pics. Glad you guys scored some good wind. Stupid double hernia surgery has me out of commission for a while - would have loved to join you guys!
I had a great time.
I really appreciate Webguy arranging the trip.
Foiling is a really cool experience ( although my flights were short and somewhat out of control ) it really does get quiet.
All good here
