Thur - Sat-Sun and beyond

Decent chance of light wind action with not horribly cold temps. Foils, wide boards, long boards seem to be the call. Friday looks breezy but wet.

Fred Howard may get some decent wind on Sat/Sun if the forecast hold up....and the rain/storm is due to pass on Friday before the weekend.

Does anyone remember such a miserable fall for wind in ATL? I think this year takes the prize for the worst season in my 20 years here. On the positive side, it probably can't get any worse next year...so things are looking up Mail 1

Alan is considering a trip to Fred Howard, too, if you want to get in touch.

Things are looking up? That's the spirit... Biggrin (yeah, it's been slim) It's probably exacerbated by your frequent stays in a place much more windy.

I'm waiting to see how Josh's foot surgery goes before I commit to Tarpon Springs.
I should know in the next few hours.

I’ll wait to Friday morning and see what the forecast is like then.

Just back from Tarpon, nice 11m day on Monday included some foiling! Maybe the best location around for learning windsports...

Did anybody go today I was at map advancing science but it did look like a perhaps foiling would be feasible. It seemed to be pretty steady around 8 maybe going up to 10 or 12 at times. Pay no attention to what's listed on the Gainesville webpage however because those seem completely wrong.

Are you accepting low ball offers yet?

Did anyone "get wet" (as in windsport?) yesterday? Seemed like a perfect day.

Technically, yes. Went to the trucking terminal and had to unwrap this in the rain to check for damage before bringing home.

Sunday's forecast offers hope of NW afternoon wind & temp in 50's. I hope to sail at Van Pugh if it blows.
