I can meet you up there. Whether I get in the water is another thing.
This is the time of year in which we are all in denial about the coming of winter and cold water. Also, when new windsurfers in the area find out who (and where) Fred Howard is.
water was okay today - used my cheapo (but flexible) 4/3 and pretty comfortable with air temps around 48. Didn't have trouble with either feet or hands. A cap helped as well as long sleeve poly shirt underneath.
High temp forecast keeps lowering so unlikely I’m sailing... I’m just a few minutes off 85 at Clairmont if you have time to grab your swell fleece on your way.
I’ll be ordering a few more for anybody that wants in on this. 404.386.8505
1:15 Van Pugh report - wind on the bank 17 to 22 MPH, more offshore, BUT 43 degrees with wind chill of 34 degrees (per my new windmeter.).
Park was empty, no other sailors, guess I was too late.
Gene
You were too early? CP and Rhett went out on small 5s. I stopped by to say hello, went to blow leaves (doing my part to keep CA safe) and came back by when it was 39 degrees. They both looked happy which was a relief as it had dropped off a bit when I was first there.
Gene, I thought you'd decamped to warmer climes like Canada or Florida (really, this time of year, what's the difference - both are full of the same people. )

I feel like I am missing something. What fleece are we talking about?

I dunno either. This guy might know

Fleece always served me well with my dry suit.

Hello everyone,
I've left Nolimitz mast shim at VP on Friday night, most likely around first parking spot.
If you find one today, please don't throw it away.

Alan, call/text me (I must have an old # for you) 404-386-8505
My back is still freaking out (muscles haven't enjoyed several long car trips recently). I'm going to spectate today.
I'm sailing.

Darn! and I was just about to go. Guess I'll just sit by the fire
I’m in Canada for work today. I think it’s warmer up here.

Is it okay that I'm not desperate enough to go out today with a predicted high of 41? It's going to be warmer in Montana today...
