Looks like somebody left the sink in the washroom running. Barrett, we sent you up there a week early to take care of the place. I'm getting a little concerned that you are distracted by the wind and not focusing on the task at hand.
Seriously, great pics. See you Monday. Poor Rhett is waking up at 4am so he can get some time in on Sunday.

"The house and property were okay after Florence, but Michael made a mess last night. Serious soundside flooding surrounded the house 1-2 feet deep. The walkway lifted and twisted up by the pool gate, and the yard is full of debris. We are going home early tomorrow. Hope you are doing well and enjoying some time on the water.
Later, Big Al "

Yikes! I’m headed to Avon today (Saturday). Hope 12 is passable! Salvo can hold water a while.

Big Al, so sorry to hear about the mess from sound side flooding. We also had a lot of debris wash in, but no problem with access to the water. After some initial clean-up, we sailed yesterday with North wind, until it dropped off later in the afternoon. In Nags Head we seldom need to use a weed fin. However after the storm there was a lot of sea grass in the water near shore, but once away from shore I was able to sail without a weed fin. A clean-up crew is here now removing debris. We never lost power despite gusts well over 60mph.
The forecast is for NW wind today, but no wind Sunday as it clocks around to the East.

The water went back into the Sound overnight leaving debris, but it's almost cleaned up now, and soon we'll be able to move our cars down the driveway - see photo. Everything should be back to normal by the time you arrive. Now the Sound is covered in whitecaps and the wind sirens are calling.

If I did this correctly, it looks like Salvo is ok now. This was the same web page as Webguy's San Blas photo. This is the Salvo house for Oct 12.
