Did some windsporting on the sailboat. Very up and down where I was on south part of the lake. Wind was there but on the low side.

Re: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

Warning: Foil content ahead. Got to Van Pugh around 11:30. As Marek said, very up and down but the ups were amazing 18-20. Pat and Jim took first shift and CP, Gene, DWade and Chris M. came after. Pat and Jim were lit earlier on 8.5s and then it settled down a bit around 1.

I rigged 6.7 and the foiling was brilliant as the gusts helped get upwind and after that I could coast downhill until the smallest lulls put me back down on the surface. Some of the best parts were bearing off in 10-12 and just cruising off wind without any whitecaps. The foil really helps link up the puffs and today I was able to bear off and chase a puff downwind (that was a cool feeling), catch it and power up again.

Re: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

I got two real good runs when a band of rain and wind blew thru.
CP, Chris, Marucio and Gene were there when I arrived.
Hope to do it again tomorrow

Sorry 2

I hope Foiling Dave still had a good time and gives it another whack.

Maybe "give it a whack" not the best phrase for foiling. I'll go again, besides the fickle wind, the main issue was the adjustable mast wasn't set for kiting. Fortunately, the twintip worked well with the 14m!

Re: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

Seeing Gilmer reporting 24-25 mph gusts makes me feel better about myself. There were times I refused to get the foil off the water with a 6.7.

Nice crowd after lunch: Jim, Gene, Dwade, Mauricio, myself. Good to see everyone out. Wind was either on or off. When it was off, it was about 8-10. Then it would be 15-20 with higher gusts.
