Ringer. (yeah, the pros really are fast)

So, at the ECWF in Cape Cod, they invited a PWA pro, Marco Lang, to attend as a "special guest". He, and a bunch of locals, went out on Friday and free sailed with GPS. (There wasn't enough wind on Saturday to run the regular event.) So, afterwards, how much faster was he?

The best wind of the weekend was last Friday, so I decided to hand out GPS units to anyone who was registered for the event and would take one. That included several Kalmus regulars (mostly non-speedsurfers), as well as PWA slalom pro Marco Lang. Since we all wanted to go to the event party at Inland Sea in the evening, we all had to stop early, just before the wind picked up, so most of the results were from 19 mph or lower wind averages. Surprised too that it was that shallow. That wasn't even sending it deep. The Aussies say the faster angles are between 115-135 off the wind. https://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Gps/Quick-Question-Whats-the-fastest-sailing-angle
