Re: Cold front in July

Maybe there is a disagreement on timing of the front. IWindsurf is showing a mild cold front coming through on Tuesday (10 mph winds at Toona, 8 at Lanier.)

Or maybe they just assume the cold front will be dead on arrival as so often happens. I think they probably have a extra "Atlanta" variable built in for that.

Those crackheads at the NWS were forecasting 5 today while the Gilmer hourlies were 10-13, g 18 between 1-6. LLSC cam showed less, the few times I checked it... but it was CLOSE. Throw in a little convection, a little bump in the pressure gradient and we're in bidness, baby.
Based on that, I'm planning on an afternoon session tomorrow, Saturday.
I'm not desperate. Nope. Not me. Shok

Really fun today on the Hobie. Picked up late, 6:30-7, making me pine for some foil time. Ventured down to old fed to say hi to kite foiling Roger... got there in a lull and he was not able to get his 17m flying. I’m sure he was ripping later as it got a lil frisky for me for my second outing on the Hobie. (I’m told it’s pretty much impossible for somebody my size to right that puppy solo). Tons of boat chop, but not unfun when powered up. ⛵️

That is only half of the problem. Look at this morning. No forecast showed this. I couldn't go anyway, but still......
