Old Fed 10:40 almost live report - Pat Parks reports plenty of parking and wind, thinks he will rig 7.5 and his Techno. I plan to be there before noon.

"How was it" was going to be my question, then saw this. So sad.

Someday, I'm going to go up to Van Pugh and pour out a case of malt liquor, can by can, for all the people we've lost in our own playground.

We‘re flying home from Erie, PA today. I had a short session sailing a 7.5m during s rain storm. A group of 8 windsurfers was gathered at the Bay when word spread radar showed rain showers approaching. It was my only chance to sail, so I head out as the wind picked up & rain fell, just as everyone left in a rush. It was a good session, just a bit messy packing up wet.

It was ok at VP. I had few runs on Nova with 9.0 m sail. Boat chop wasn't fun. I hoped to sail the storm, but it had some high voltage in it, so I opted out. Could be +1

Just saw a video grab taken just before the Branson duck boat tragedy. I can't imagine any pleasure craft not designed for open ocean conditions being out in that. Plus, the canopy apparently prevented them even escaping the thing.
