That's from Swell City to the Hatchery just west of Hood River, take out at White Salmon River. At 2:20 you see the Hatchery parking lot on the left side. Looks like great fun. The video shows the size of the swell on the Columbia really well. Can't wait to go back....4 weeks and counting.

Could I beg to disagree? Around 2:50, he's dragging, back stroking a bit for control. He does it at other times, too. I'm going with the "don't jump on me" theory plus with as wind as it is, it gives him a bit of a shove. Or, just joyous celebration. Must be fun surfing down those swells with Chumbawamba doing a live performance from a barge just behind you. That's how that works isn't it?
Still looking foils or maybe even a Surfski for the doldrums of summer.
